Downtown Hostel Highlights
The bar at the Flying Pig Downtown Hostel sells the cheapest beer in the city – plus it’s a great place to meet new people. Whether you’re after a sociable dorm, a female-only dorm or a private room, we have something for everyone. Our dorm rooms sleep between 4 and 32 people – and of course, the bigger the dorm the smaller the price.
At Flying Pig Downtown, you can also benefit from fantastic events we have going on in the hostel and bar – a great way to socialise and make friends with fellow backpackers. Take part in our daily bar events. Our bar is open until 3am so there’s always something going on. Make the most of our indoor smoking room too.
We fill up fast so be sure to book in advance! …We also have a lovely cat in the hostel.
Directions to Downtown
From Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station:
take a train directly from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. Buy a ticket from a machine or at the desk (more expensive). This train ride will cost around €3,80 (one-way ticket) and takes about 12 minutes.
From Amsterdam Central Station to Downtown Pig:
it is just a 2-minute walk to the hostel. Walk out of the main entrance of the station and go straight ahead past the Victoria Hotel. Take the first alley on your right and walk to the shopping street at the end. Turn left on the shopping street, this is Nieuwendijk, we are at number 100 on your right hand side.
